ONCE UPON A TIME...
Anna and Rich joined forces to create a unique wellness portfolio... The Conscious Life Collective. Together their joie de vivre is contagious. They inspire light hearted courage, empowering those around them to shine consistently – during the dark times and the bright. Their loving, playful style of educating instills confidence in students of all levels as they illuminate their strengths, gently guiding them toward their higher potential by offering tools to elevate their happiness and optimize their lives. The dynamic duo are currently based in Brighton, England, with their toddler, Stella.
ANNA SUGARMAN

Anna, international yoga teacher and teacher trainer, sparkled in Los Angeles as a designer, entrepreneur and yogi, but her heart desired adventure and knowledge... So for years she traveled the earth focusing on humanitarianism – en route, practicing and teaching yoga classes, workshops, retreats, festivals and teacher trainings. Over 100 of her graduates are currently sharing yoga worldwide.

Since 1998, Anna has been fortunate to have studied with renowned teachers around the globe, all of whom have shaped her own practice and teaching approach. Her dharma is sharing her passion for spiritual balance, and she devotes herself to exploring this – as a student and a teacher.

Anna obtained her 500 hour certification in the Himalayas, from a duo of gurus – a doctorate of philosophy and a doctor of Ayurvedic and Western medicine. Immersed in the vibrant energy of India, she also studied spiritual philosophy and Eastern medicine, and instructed intensive yoga teacher trainings.

Integrating appropriate anatomical alignment, challenging sequences and intelligent transitions with creativity, enthusiasm and joy, it’s been said that Anna plays yoga. During philosophical Yin classes, Anna’s captivating voice invokes peace; whilst her laughter-packed, Ashtanga-based flows culminate in blissful vinyasa fun, focusing on strength, mindfulness and grace.

Anna’s love for playful motion and holistic wellbeing is her offering – she aims to assist others in discovering and nurturing their ethos. She believes it's deep rooted passion which sparks the joy that will maintain a strong self-practice, peace of mind, a happy life, and the ability and authenticity to share it with others.

RICH HUSSEINY

For over 15 years, Richard has worked as a Strength & Conditioning Coach in High Performance Sport, with some of the best organizations and athletes in the world. Diving, football, judo, boxing, snowboarding, skiing... He has supported teams in preparation for two Summer Olympic Games – London 2012 and Rio 2016  –  and is currently working toward the the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeong Chang, with Great Britain's Park and Pipe squad.

Whilst living in Beijing, China, Richard’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, so he moved home to care for her during the final stages of the disease. That was life changing. It sparked a momentous shift in perspective, self-discovery, consciousness, and a desire to learn what life really means.

Travel and an openness to experience different cultures have helped Rich discover practices that continue to guide and heal the grief. This is why wellbeing has become his focus and passion. It’s not just about performance – it’s about helping as many people as possible by sharing new perspectives, facilitating fun and effective ways to move, and generally optimizing life.

Rich's coaching, teaching, and mentoring are sought after by up-and-comers in his field, as well as successful peers – due to his extensive experience and sensitivity in understanding different styles of learning and how to present accordingly. This translates beautifully into Yoga Teacher Trainings – offering insights that speak to longtime yogis and those who are surprised to find themselves on the mat.
